Hijr-e-Aswad, The Black Stone

Hijr-e-Aswad, the black rock is positioned in the eastern corner of Ka'aba. It's encased in a silver frame and is considered that this sacred stone was sent down from heaven to Hazrat Adam and Eve to direct them in regards to the location where to create the very first altar of the planet.

Additionally it is thought that the stone was white in colour when it dropped all the way from heaven but the sins of sons of Adam and Eve turned it black.

It was put at the eastern corner of Ka'aba by our Prophet (PBUH) when he combined with his companions rebuilt the Ka'aba. At that moment, a fight erupted among the tribes around who will have the chance to place the lucky stone. Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) determined that the first person to enter Masjid al Haraam will put the stone. Then he ordered that the Holy rock could be placed on a sheet and a single member of each tribe will hold the sheet from every corner.

This manner, the rock was taken to its place where our Prophet (PBUH) took it in his hands, kissed it and put it. Since that day, it's been on precisely the identical location.

Muslims kiss this black rock when they perform Tawaaf around Ka'aba. They do this because this rock was kissed by our Holy Prophet (PBUH). If a man is not able to kiss the stone due to the crowd, he might just touch it or point his hands towards it saying"Allahu Akbar." Muslims shouldn't fight among one another for reaching the rock.

This lucky stone has two miracles associated with itit floats on water and doesn't get hot no matter how large the temperature may be. Our Prophet (PBUH) told:"The black rock is Allah's right hand on His earth. It doesn't sink in water and it doesn't get hot in flame."

A respectable agent can book your whole package for groups or individuals. It's always preferable to reserve your package with a reliable and registered Umrah representative to prevent certain hassles of high costs of flights and lodging.

The Saudi Government has imposed new rules for Umrah and Hajj service providers to satisfy the standards fixed by the Government. Umrah and Hajj should always be achieved with complete concentration and dedication to Allah (SWT) and booking well in advance will provide you the opportunity to have a hassle free sacred journey to Makkah and Madinah, and you can focus more on your prayers as opposed to worrying about the resort or return flights.

Responsible booking agents always advise their customers to book their own Umrah packages during the months of Moharram and Saffar, but they are able to get last minute bookings as well that may cost somewhat more in lodging and flights, but you'll have the ability to carry out your obligation with complete dedication to Allah (SWT).
